Darren Dove

Darren Dove is Course Director for ALC’s ITIL® Training Program. Darren has a leading reputation as both an ITIL consultant and trainer. He has more than 20 years in the IT industry covering roles in Service Management, Training, Consulting, Project Management and Management. Organisationally, he has worked across public and private sector groups including ICT Service Providers, Mining, Local Government, Software Development, Police, Education and Health. Darren is personally very committed to ITIL education and consistently achieves exceptional pass rates.
Earlier in his career Darren worked several years as a Service Delivery Manager, Incident and Problem Manager, Infrastructure Manager and then IT Service Manager. From 2004 to 2008 Darren was Senior ITSM Consultant with a well known ITSM consultancy. During this time he was actively involved in planning, building, running and evaluating ITSM courses across the entire Service Management range.
Subsequently Darren has been working as a contract Service Level Manager in tertiary education and an ITSM process implementation consultant in the oil industry.
Darren believes that any successful ITSM implementation is totally dependent on the degree to which ICT management commits fully to its role in delivering and managing ICT services. His wealth of practical operational experience and business knowledge, accrued over many years, has proved invaluable during all engagements as ICT continues to strengthen its relationship with the business.
As well as being fully qualified to the highest level in IT Service Management, Darren also holds qualifications in PRINCE2® and COBIT®.
